Episode 012: Off Topic

The Boys are back facing technical difficulties from Skype, drinking whiskey, and just generally talking up a storm. This is a special episode of cineAWESOME! Cast where we tell you what Horror movies to be watching on Netflix Instawatch. As a warning this episode gets hugely off topic and in the middle (while we talk about how neither of us has seen Red State) the call drops a couple of times so things get weird. The Rap contest is over, Rufus will be creating a Rap intro to the show as soon as Grad School calms down. Thanks for all the reviews and for everyone spreading the word. Hope you enjoy our strange episode.

Episode 011: Space Cowboy

Some people call them the gangsters of love. Mostly they’re known as Rufus and James bravely bringing you double features from beyond the stars. This week we take a look at the space western genre with Outland and Oblivion. They are very, very close to Rufus rapping the intro. Just a few more iTune reviews, a few more suggestions to your friends on Facebook, and a few more people downloading. Keep on keeping on, and as always thanks for listening!

Episode 010: Space Bubbles and Word Games

After a long vacation the boys are finally back with more great content than you can shake a stick at. Venturing into the more serious side of cinema the boys take on Zodiac and The Fountain. The theme is somewhat thin (basically films that we felt were great that didn’t get the acclaim/viewers that they deserved right before the director’s careers blew up with Oscar films) but as always we have entertaining side notes, plenty of film talk, and generally get right back into the swing of things. We want to thank everyone for their patience while we sorted our crazy lives out!

Remember the challenge is still on. If a single episode reaches 350 downloads, we break 500 followers on facebook, or we recieve 20 iTunes reviews Rufus will create a rap intro for the show.

Episode 009: Welcome to the Shit

Rufus and James are joined by special guest Sam U. Rai from the one and only GGTMC for their Vietnam extravaganza. Covering both Who’ll Stop the Rain and Tigerland they discuss many a topic. A word of warning due to some technical glitches the sound quality of this episode is a little less than stellar and we apologize. They also tell you what to watch and talk about how podcasting isn’t dead.

Episode 008: Don’t Feed the Animals!

The longest most action packed episode yet! Rufus and James are joined by special guest Rupert Pupkin (of Rupert Pupkin Speaks and The GGTMC!) to talk some animal attack movies. There are also rants about Criterion needing Korean films and Netflix price changes that took the internet by firestorm. Oh yeah, they also talk about The Pack and Grizzly. Many jokes are told, Joe Don Baker is shown some love and we talk about disappointed horses. So strap on some asbestos underroos, make sure your food is kept up in the tree, and load the shotguns for dogs!

Episode 007: Protect Ya Neck

We take a break from all the festivals to bring you two neck breaking, throat gouging, awkward running, crazy leather jacket and joint locking Steven Seagal films Under Siege and Fire Down Below. We also talk about James getting punched in the head, threatened by Steven Seagal, and why Transformers 3 was okay but perhaps not in that order. We also bring you our new cineAWESOME! approved band The Hold-Up. Their brand of shit-kicking punk, country, jailhouse, bluegrass infused rock and roll is right up our alley and we think you will dig their track Hallowed Ground (its about zombies!).
