WTF!? Wednesday: Cherry Falls

Hello everyone. This is a new series about those moments in film that make us question if we’ve just seen it. Especially when alone, it’s something we want to showcase to everyone in order to see if we are sane or if we’ve finally cracked from watching too many movies. A good example is the bear scene from The Shining.

Often called a Scream knockoff which tends to piss myself and other fans off big time, Cherry Falls is a 2000 horror films starring Brittany Murphy, Michael Biehn, Gabriel Mann and Jay Mohr (perhaps he is why nobody has heard of this film). It’s an above average horror film that I really enjoyed when I got to see it late one night randomly on cable about 8 years ago. But there’s one scene (amongst others, actually) that stuck with me and I always wondered if I did see it or not. The scene is below and showcases a range of emotions and toe sucking. Enjoy!

WTF!? Movie Making

Although I have no intentions of tooting my own horn, despite this being the internet where we all have twelve inch reproductive organs and fight polar bears for recreation, I am fairly knowledgeable in the arts of really messed-up cinema. From psychedelic acid trips caught on celluloid to the strange and bizarre world of Japanese faux-snuff, my tastes in cinema often veer towards the bizarre. Maybe you too have an interest in the strange and unusual, because you yourself are in fact… strange and unusual (+10 points for Beetle Juice reference!).
