Having grown up in the San Francisco Bay Area with stints in Hawaii and Japan, Jon specializes in film from Japan. He is the editor-in-chief, producer, and co-host of VCinema, a podcast and blog that covers Asian film. When not writing and podcasting about film, he curates screening events in the San Francisco Bay Area and researches the language policy trends of nations in the Asian and Pacific Rim regions.
