DeAngelo was born and raised in East Saint Louis, IL and graduated from East St. Louis Senior High in 2006. He attended Southern Illinois University Carbondale for four years where he completed a bachelor’s degree in film production specializing in screenwriting, and a minor in English focusing on world literature. Currently he is an MA candidate in the Cinema Studies department at NYU. His areas of interest include horror films (American and Foreign) and Africana Cinema.
